Simple, i really enjoy teaching profession.though i have been an IT professional,rebranded my self and aquired necessary teaching qualifications and started my career afresh.
The problem is that,teaching profession does not pay well in private schools.so when i heard, there is a school in bangalore that has a christian values and a better pay scale and a better infrastructure, i was planning to visit on one saturday.
The school is Christel house,bangalore.I have explaind the gate keeper about the purpose of my visit,and here i was inside the school.
You will have to see to believe it! Just wonderfully built..very spacious and colorful.and the library alone looks massive and british council library may look like a whimp in front of it.
I liked every cubic inch of that school,but when i started talking to the adminstrator,then the larger picture started appearing..The children of christel house are coming from a background that has no exposure To education ,and education is the last priority or no priority at all for their parents who absolutely make paltry earnings.
And you know what? They will not admit any children who has a better life..only slum guys can get admission,and to get admission,they have to prove that they are below poverty line..
And once they get admission, then this school takes care of every thing like food clothing and etc..For those children.It looks like to me ,that running such a school is a great challenge not only for the founder ms, christel dehaan but for the teachers who strive extra for those uneducted parent,s kids and chisel them some one in the society..
I loved the concept, and though i have applied for it..i am still waiting a day will come and i could be a part of this wonderful school that sets apart from other business pressure schools, who are just running a race without any solid values.
